“The Trailside Inn is everything you would expect to see in a Vermont Inn. A gathering area that is welcoming, a comfortable and clean room with a great aesthetic. It is however more than the sum of its parts due primarily to the wonderful family that runs the Inn. Upon check-in we were greeted by Josh who had ample suggestions for our time in Vermont. He knew the area well and gave us options which allowed us to make our vacation unique. Hiking, sightseeing, shopping and visiting breweries dominated our time. We really enjoyed however coming back ‘home’ at the end of each day and sharing our stories with the other patrons and Josh and Ann. Sharing coffee in the morning or a beer at the end of a day made it just feel more like visiting friends. We will certainly visit the Trailside again, not because the beds are the softest (they were great) or the showers are the hottest (just the thing for sore muscles) but because to us, it is now home.” (Brynne on TripAdvisor)

“For an escape with family, big group or friends, don’t hesitate – it’s an awesome place.” (Cynthia on TripAdvisor)

“We hosted a family reunion at Trailside for 4 days and 3 nights. Josh and Ann, the innkeepers, could not have been more accommodating and were consistently available throughout. The Great Room, big back deck, and lower level game room provided numerous options for gatherings throughout our stay. The setting is so casual and perfectly consistent with a getaway in the Green Mountains. The provided breakfast has a delicious local flair. Josh and Ann offered fun and interesting suggestions for daytime activities/road trips/getaways both in the Killington area and throughout the state. We, and members of our family, took them up on several and couldn’t have been more pleased…..biking, adventure activities, tours, breweries. They are gracious hosts who take the time to get to know their guests. A hidden gem in the Killington area.” (Larry on TripAdvisor)

“Just something super cool and simply chic about the trailside inn. I saw the pictures online of the clean, slightly funky room units with the thick slab handcrafted wooden head boards and I knew I wanted to stay there. The main living space with the huge stone fireplace and giant wooden tables was all so quintessential ski country yet hip in a new twist kind of way. I fell in love with my small but perfectly cozy room with the vessle sink, handpainted mirror and colorful bedspread. The mattress was to die for and I requested immediately to know what brand. The Innkeeprs were so nice and helpful…thank you Annie. The blood oranges in the morning and farm fresh hardboiled eggs…well great way to amp up before hitting the slopes.” (medeliser on TripAdvisor)

“We stayed for 4 days in February in the Barn apartment…9 people total. The Barn was very comfortable and has more than enough living space for gathering, plus a pool table which kept the kids busy for hours! The apartment was clean and comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to make our own meals. The large room in the main lodge was a great place to hang out and read, watch movies or socialize with other guests. Josh, the innkeeper is super nice and is extremely informed about the area. He gave tips on where to eat, what to do as an alternative to skiing and even which trails were the best to ski at Killington. Overall, this is a great place to stay while on ski vacation, we will be back!” (Cynthia on Facebook)

“Josh and Ann are amazing innkeepers! Josh was very helpful with local attractions!  The rooms are absolutely beautiful! Breakfasts are fantastic! We stayed at the Trailside Inn for a wedding at the Riverside Farm and were more than thrilled with the accommodations! Thank you, Josh and Ann, for a “family style” experience!” (Eileen on Facebook)

“I stayed two nights at the Trailside Inn for a wedding. The Inn made me feel like I was at a cottage in Vermont. It was very nice and recently updated. The husband and wife Inn Keepers were the nicest people and helped with my requests and made sure everything was taken care of.” (richardesposito on TripAdvisor)

“Trailside is a travelers inn with a touch of modern poise. The innkeepers are the best. They run a gracious family oriented business. I *absolutely* loved this place and we’re coming back.  The inn was recently renovated by the new owners. They did a great job melding old with new. Both our room and common areas were well kept and polished, not showing a bit of wear. We stayed in a standard queen. Our bed was comfortable and most importantly clean. The bathroom and shower was spotless. The room had its own wall mounted heating unit that was easy to operate. It came with a remote which I kept at my bedside for late night adjustments. Lastly, the location is very close to Killington.

I felt very much a welcome guest in someone’s home and we treated our stay accordingly. The Innkeepers were quite helpful and accessible during extended hours. The innkeepers are honest and upfront. They provided accurate information. In fact, I found they were a bit modest about their establishment which is very nice because my stay pleasantly exceeded expectations.
The Trailside Inn speaks for itself. I look forward to my next visit.” (Xav M. on TripAdvisor)

“The lodge was just remodeled and has large common areas that are suitable for groups. It was so nice that most nights we decided to stay at the lodge, play board games, and relax by the fire. I would definitely recommend it for large groups.” (Sean M. on TripAdvisor, Oct. 24, 2013)

“You won’t find a more cozy, clean and friendly place anywhere! Not like a hotel or bed and breakfast, but falls somewhere in between. Huge lobby fireplace, large HD TV, comfy cushioned chairs and “Harry Potter” like tables for eating a Vermont snack. Rooms are spacious, tidy and modern.” (Rick L. on Yelp)

“I stayed at the Inn this past weekend and I was very pleased with the accommodations.  I stayed in bunk room D4 a room that fits 5 people comfortably.  The rooms were so clean and each bed had comfortable bedding  along with a individual welcome set of towels, toiletries and bottled water.  The bathroom was immaculate and spacious.  The living room was amazing.  The fire and seating felt like you were at home and the furniture looks all artisanal which lent itself to a rustic yet elegant lodging experience.  This is now my “go to”  lodging when I want to get away to enjoy all the recreational opportunities Pittsfield and Killington VT have to offer.” (Michelle, Jan. 14, 2013).

“The Trailside Inn is a bit of a contradiction, in a good way. It looks (and smells) brand  spanking new, with gorgeous pine wood floors throughout and new furniture. Yet there’s still a rustic, lodge-like vibe here — there are no TVs in the rooms, and the surroundings are, in a word, tranquil. It lacks the quirkiness of a B&B (which some will appreciate), and instead favors a cleaner, less cluttered look. It’s a good choice for couples looking for some alone time in a secluded setting, as well as for budget travelers — shared bunk rooms start around $50 per person a night. …  proximity to the Killington Ski Resort help make this an excellent value pick.” (Official Review by Oyster.com Hotel Investigator)
