Completely renovated in the summer of 2011, the Trailside Inn has a wide variety of lodgings to suit every taste and budget:
22 updated bedrooms featuring wide-planked white pine floors, comfortable queen or twin beds, hand-crafted wooden headboard, hand-painted mirror, lots of natural light, and a private bathroom. The bathrooms are very clean and spacious, and are lined with natural stone tiles and equipped with updated fixtures and large showers. Two of these bedrooms are larger suites able to sleep four each.- 2 separate self-contained apartments, each with five bedrooms. These brand-new apartments have private exterior entrances, lounge with TV and fireplace, full service kitchen plus dining area, and storage area for skis, golf clubs, or bicycles.
- 7 dorm rooms with bunk beds (occupancy varies between 3 and 8). These dorm rooms feature wide-planked white pine floors, built-in shelving, large sink with hand-painted mirror, and private bathroom with a shower.
There
are several spacious common areas at the Inn. The Great Room is big enough to host all manner of different activities. This cozy room features a beautiful fieldstone fireplace, wide, white pine flooring, endless windows to let in the natural light, a big flat-screen TV, several cozy sitting areas, and handmade wooden dining tables for enjoying your complimentary continental breakfast. Other common areas include the large downstairs Game Room and the outdoor pool.
The Killington area is a prime location for outdoor enthusiasts, no matter what the season. During the Winter months our Green Mountains are a mecca for snow-related activities; come, let us point you in the right direction. For skiing and riding, the Killington, Pico, and Okemo Ski Resorts are right on our doorstep. Our region also offers ample opportunities for Nordic skiing. Or you could head out of the door of the Inn with a pair of snowshoes rented from the nearby Original General Store. Summer offers an equal array of exciting outdoor activities. For the golfers out there, it doesn’t get much more convenient, since the Trailside Inn overlooks the 3rd fairway of Vermont’s #1-voted public golf course—the Green Mountain National Golf Course.
