Hello, winter!

It ​was such a glorious summer here in Vermont that the cooler temps of fall were bittersweet. But the bright, bold, amazing foliage made up for that in spades. Now it is time to say a fond farewell to those seasons and gear up for winter!

Ski season is officially upon us as Killington has opened for the 2014/2015 season! As temperatures drop and snow begins to fall, we will ready our snowshoes, skis, snowboards and more. It is a very exciting time for Trailside Inn and Vermont as a whole!

While we have only been at Trailside for 4 months, we have encountered so many wonderful people in that short time. We have had guests who ski and snowboard to guests who are here to celebrate the marriage of a loved one. They have allowed us to share in their conversation, share in their laughter, share in their lives. Many have even brought us gifts. We are truly fortunate to have met such incredible people! A card that was sent to us by one of our guests, and amazing person, Page, shows precisely just how wonderful the people are that we get the pleasure of meeting! She writes, “…Who knows if I will ever get to Trailside Inn again but maybe I will. I want Room #208, I loved it, it was perfect. Thank you for everything, making the switch of rooms, breakfast, bandaids and that great fire at night. I loved your Inn, but I would never go if you left. I know you work so hard – keep it simple as you can, do not lose its charm, it never will if you two are the owners.” Page, you are truly the sweetest!
