Maple Open House Weekend is one of the best times of the year! When the sap is running in the spring we love to visit Elm Grove Farm, Charron's Family Maple, Baird Farm, and Sugarbush Farm, just to name a few of our favorites. If you've never had a sugar shack experience, the sugarhouses are FILLED with steam of sugary goodness. Workers are bustling to keep the fire stoked and the boiling process at peak temperature. Visitors can sample hot maple syrup on Vermont snow and even entice you with homemade cider donuts, apple pancakes, beer waffles and specialty candies! It's a true Vermont experience you don't want to miss. Have a favorite spot you like to visit, please share :) Photos Trailside Inn
